Our story
A family of living hope in Derby
We are a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church raising people who love God and do good in their community.
Who we are
Rooted in God. Reaching our community.
RCCG Living Hope Derby began as a church plant inspired by our mother parish, RCCG Solid Rock Parish Derby, with a simple conviction: every family can write a story of hope and success with God as the foundation.
From our first services at Chellaston Community Centre to our new home on the High Street, God has guided, strengthened and united us as a family of faith. Today we are a multicultural church: students, professionals, young families and grandparents, worshipping together in Chellaston every Sunday.
Our journey
How God has led us
-
Living Hope is born
A new RCCG parish begins in Chellaston, meeting every Sunday at Chellaston Community Centre on Barley Croft.
-
Three years of God's faithfulness
We celebrated our 3rd anniversary, rejoicing in His unwavering love, grace and countless blessings.
-
A new home: Living Hope Arena
The former Chellaston Methodist Church at 27 High Street became RCCG Living Hope, a new chapter for our growing family.
Our leadership
Pastor Sunday Aina
Living Hope is led by Pastor Sunday Aina, who shepherds our parish with a passion for prayer, the Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our parish is part of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a global family of churches under the leadership of the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Each month we join the wider RCCG family for our Thanksgiving Service, and throughout the year we gather for special services, prayer nights and Holy Ghost encounters.

Faith that shows up in everyday life
God first
Worship, prayer and the Word are at the centre of everything we do. We come expecting to encounter God every time we gather.
God & Good
We believe Christians should constantly do good in the lives of people in our community, regardless of religious affiliation.
Family
Fellowship is more than an event. It's the relationships we build that help us stay faithful to God through every season of life.
What we believe
Our core beliefs
As a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we hold to the historic Christian faith revealed in the Bible.
The Bible
The Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, our final authority for faith and life.
The Trinity
One God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Salvation in Jesus
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.
The Holy Spirit
The baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit empower believers to live holy, fruitful lives.
Holiness
God calls His people to live set-apart lives that reflect His character.
His return
Jesus Christ is coming again, and we live with hope and readiness for that day.
For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light.Psalm 36:9 Plan your visit
